Meter
Hymns aren’t songs that are always tied to one particular tune; rather, the texts and tunes are interchangeable, based upon the poetic meter of the hymn. This list is an attempt to list the tunes that we use (and some that we don’t use) along with their meter.
For example, because the meter is 8.7.8.7.8.8.7., we can use Chris Miner’s tune for “From Depths of Woe” with the hymn “All Glory Be to Thee, Most High”.
You can sort by meter or by tune.
